A male gunshot victim was transported to the hospital after police found him shot in Newark's South Wednesday evening.
Officers responded to an address in the 200 block of Hunterdon Street to investigate reports of an injured person.
Several offices arrived and found that the victim possibly accidentally discharged a gun that struck him at that location.
His condition is not considered life-threatening at this time.
Newark Police are investigating the incident.
