Camden Metro Police are investigating a motive for a shooting that sent a man to the hospital overnight.
The early morning shooting happened around 2:45 a.m. at the Crestbury Apartments located in the 2500 block of South 8th Street.
Officers arrived at the scene and found a male victim suffering a gunshot wound in his back at that location.
The male was rushed to an area hospital for treatment and is in serious condition.
Police say the suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
No other injuries were reported.
