Authorities in Newark are investigating a shooting incident that occurred this afternoon at Cut Creator's Barbershop, located directly across from University High School.
The incident, which unfolded just before 3 p.m., in the 80's block of Clinton Place which left one man wounded.
Upon receiving reports of gunfire, police arrived at the scene to find an unidentified male with a bullet wound to his arm.
He was promptly transported to University Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
According to a preliminary investigation, an armed male entered the barbershop and fired at the victim before fleeing the scene.
The area was quickly secured by police as they began their active investigation into the shooting.
Fortunately, no other injuries were reported. Newark police are now focused on uncovering the motive behind the attack and are searching for the suspect who remains at large.
