Male Hospitalized After Early Morning Shooting in Paterson

A man is recovering after being shot in Paterson early Saturday morning, authorities said.

According to police, officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation that detected gunfire near 59 Front Street around 1:30 a.m. 

Upon arrival, they located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he was reported to be in stable condition. 

No arrests were announced, and police did not immediately release a description of any suspects.

The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.
