A shooting incident near a busy North Ward intersection in Newark has left one male injured, prompting an immediate response from the city's Shooting Response Team.
The incident was noticed on Sunday evening around 8 p.m., at the Wing Stop located at the intersection of Clay Street and McCarter Highway.
Upon their arrival, police discovered a male victim with a bullet wound to his leg.
He was quickly transported to University Hospital for medical attention and is expected to recover.
As of now, details regarding the circumstances of the shooting remain sparse, and no arrests have been made.
Authorities have not reported any other injuries related to this incident.
