There were non-fatal injuries reported for the victim of a shooting in a section of Jersey City overnight.
Police said gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 403 Tonnele Avenue around midnight, sending officers to the scene to investigate.
Upon arrival, police found a male victim suffering a bullet wound in his leg.
Police said the victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and is expected to recover.
Jersey City Police have not reported the motive for the shooting at this time.
No arrests were reported.
