Police in Elizabeth are looking for a possible armed suspect who fired a gun at a man Tuesday morning.
A preliminary investigation indicated that at approximately 8:30 p.m., Elizabeth officers received reports of shots fired near 71 Butler Street.
When cops arrived, they found a male gunshot victim at that location.
The victim was transported to the hospital and expected to survive.
Officers also engaged a heavy presence on Washington Avenue for a second investigation.
No other injuries were reported.
