Police in Jersey City are reporting a shooting incident with a man dead inside a car in a section of the city at this time.
According to police, the incident happened at approximately 12:40 in the 200 block of Clerk Street.
Police say officer found 30-year-old Yusef Mathis inside the vehicle with a bullet wound in his head.
Medical personnel pronounced Mathis dead at the scene.
The circumstances behind the shooting is under investigation by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit at this time.
