The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office is investigating a shooting incident that killed a male victim Saturday.
Early morning, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 623 Chambers Street around 1:30 a.m., prompting police to the scene to investigate.
Upon arrival, officers found a male suffering gunshot wounds to his head at the location.
Police say the medical personnel pronounced the victim dead shortly after the shooting.
The suspect fled the scene and has not been arrested at this time.
