Rutgers Police arrested a suspect responsible for attempting to rob a store on their campus Tuesday evening.
According to reports, Rutgers and NJIT Police officers engaged in a foot pursuit of an armed suspect who reportedly attempted to rob the EZ Mart store located at 155 University Avenue around 7:45 p.m.
Police say the black male suspect entered the establishment with a sharp object and approached employees.
The suspect was taken into custody on the nearby NJIT campus without further incident.
No physical injuries were reported.
