Lottery Ticket Sold at Newark Pizzeria/Deli Among Three to Split Nearly $450K

TRENTON, N.J. (Dec. 9, 2015) – Three winning tickets will split the $440,664 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Tuesday, Dec. 8 drawing. Each ticket is worth $146,888. Those tickets were sold in:

· Essex County: Brick Oven Pizza & Deli, 102-108 Avon Ave., Newark,

· Middlesex County: Cold Cut Center, 1291 Roosevelt Ave., Carteret, and

· Monmouth County: Welsh Farms, 1811 Main St., Lake Como.

Executive Director Hedinger said the winning tickets were the only three sold for Tuesday’s drawing that matched all five numbers drawn. The winning numbers were: 02, 04, 09, 29 and 37.

“We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at Brick Oven Pizza & Deli, Cold Cut Center and Welsh Farms,” said Hedinger. “For selling these winning tickets, each retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000. Overnight, they have become three more ‘lucky locations’ for the very fortunate lottery winners.”

Hedinger also noted that 4,491 other players won $111,100 in cash prizes in the Tuesday drawing. For correctly picking four numbers, 119 players won cash prizes of $456 each, and for correctly matching three numbers, 4,372 players won $13.
