Authorities in Bergen County are investigating a fire that occurred within a Rennie Place apartment in Lodi on Friday, October 13.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Lodi Police Department announced that at approximately 8:02 a.m., the Lodi Police responded to a fire alarm emanating from the Rennie Place apartment.
According to officials, upon entry, first responders located an unresponsive 101-year-old woman in critical condition.
The woman was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center with serious injuries, officials said.
Police say an investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Lodi Police Department under the direction of Chief Donald Scorzetti.
No other information is available at this time, authorities say.
