Police in Linden are investigating a crash that involves a school bus Thursday morning.
According to a statement released by police, at approx 7:45 am, officers responded to the 200 block of E. Linden Ave on reports of a motor vehicle crash involving a school bus.
The bus, which had no passengers at the time of the crash, was traveling east on East Linden Avenue when it was struck head-on by a 2013 Hyundai Elantra that was traveling west.
The bus driver was treated for minor injuries and transported to Robert Wood Johnson Rahway Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle, a 32-year-old man from Avenel, was transported to Newark University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
