Police in Linden were on the scene of a shots-fired incident that caused property damage in the city on Monday evening.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Cleveland Avenue.
Police responded to the area after gunfire rang out, and when officers arrived, they found evidence that a shooting had occurred, but no victims were located.
An unoccupied vehicle was struck by stray bullets, according to police.
The suspect fled the scene and is at large. Police have not released the motive for the shooting at this time.
