Linden Police are investigating a violent stabbing incident that left two people injured early Tuesday morning.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Grant Street shortly before 12:50 a.m. following reports of an assault in progress.
Upon arrival, police found two unidentified individuals suffering from stab wounds.
Both victims were transported to University Hospital in Newark, where their injuries were reported as serious as of 4:30 a.m.
A preliminary investigation suggests that one of the injured individuals may be a suspect in the incident.
Police have escorted this person to the medical center and are expected to make an arrest.
The motive for the stabbing remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
