Today seven veteran police officers were promoted to new ranks during a ceremony filled with family, friends, and colleagues at Linden City Hall today.
Three sergeants were promoted to the rank of lieutenant and four officers were promoted to the rank of sergeant to fill existing vacancies.
The officers were administered the oath of office by City Clerk Joseph Bodek and were surrounded by family members.
Linden Mayor Derek and Police Chief congratulated the men on their achievement and wished them continued success in their careers.
