Two New Jersey Lottery players scored $50,000 each after matching four of the five white balls and the Powerball in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, according to a statement released by NJ Lottery officials.
The winning tickets were purchased at Quick Mart on Knopf Street in Linden, Union County, and Welsh Farms #4 on West Main Street in Farmingdale, Monmouth County.
The numbers for the December 4 drawing were 01, 23, 25, 28, 61, with the Powerball 13 and Power Play multiplier 2X.
Despite these smaller wins, no one claimed the multi-state jackpot, which has now surged to over $260 million ahead of Saturday’s drawing.
In the separate Double Play drawing, which offers players a chance to win up to $10 million, no ticket matched the numbers 14, 35, 43, 48, 54, and the Double Play ball 1.
Lottery officials encourage players to check their tickets and stay tuned for upcoming draws.
