Linden Man Wanted for Eluding Police in Roselle Park Turns Himself In

Roselle Park police announced this afternoon that a Linden man wanted for eluding police last month turned himself in.

According to police, on August 7, Johansel Moronta turned himself into Roselle Park Police without incident.

Moronta Johansel Moronta ( aka Johansel Rafael Asmar), 22, of Linden, was charged with 2nd degree Eluding and 4th degree resisting arrest by the Roselle Park Police.

He has was processed and released on $50,000.00 bond pending a Union County Superior court date.

On July 22, around 1:45 a.m., police pulled Moronta - who was driving a 2012 Black Honda Civic 4 door registered to a family member - over after he failed to stop at a stop sign. He led police on a chase which came to a halt after he crashed through a fence and shortly after bailed out abandoning car in Linden.
