The National Weather Service Meteorologists said residents in Newark and the North Jersey region can expect light rain today.
NWS said the weather forecast for Thursday shows mostly sunny skies with a high near 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind speed is expected to be calm but will become north around five mph later in the day.
Forecasters said there is a 30% chance of showers, mainly after 5 am on Thursday.
It is advised to keep an eye on the weather updates and plan accordingly if you are planning any outdoor activities.
As for the barometric pressure, NWS forecasters said it is expected to be 29.96 inches, considered a regular reading for this time of year.
Looking ahead, temperatures will begin to rise starting on Saturday, bringing some relief from the cooler weather we've experienced in recent days. This is an excellent time to start planning your outdoor activities for the weekend.
