Mercer County authorities are looking into a double shooting that left both victims suffering severe injuries in Trenton during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, the incident unfolded on Bond Street just before midnight sending police to the scene after residents dialed 911 after hearing multiple gunshots.
Units arriving at the scene found the first victim in an unconscious and unresponsive state suffering gunshot wounds to the head and chest according to preliminary reports.
Police also located a second victim suffering massive bleeding after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest.
The victims were transported to an area hospital in critical condition according to reports.
UPDATED 6:14AM: One of the victims has died according to police.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
There were no arrests reported.
