Hudson County authorities have launched an investigation into a pedestrian strike that reportedly left a male victim seriously injured last night in Kearny.
According to reports at the scene, police were called to the Walmart parking lot sometime at around 8 p.m. for reports of an injured person.
Emergency responders arriving to the scene found the man suffering life threatening injuries according to reports.
Sources told RLS Metro Breaking News that the victim is reportedly a law enforcement officer and possibly reside in Essex County.
According to sources, the vehicle left the scene.
A request for information was sent out to Kearny authorities but has not been retuned as of 6:30 a.m. to confirm details.
