Police in Jersey City reported severe injuries for an operator of a dirt bike involved in a collision in a section of the city Friday evening.
It happened around 7:55 p.m. in the area of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and Wade Street.
Police say the male operator of a dirt bike collided with a vehicle near the intersection, causing the rider to eject from the motorized cycle.
According to police, the severely injured, unidentified victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center in critical condition.
Police say the collision caused heavy traffic on Martin Luther King Drive for the Black Friday holiday shopping season.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
