A pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Newark's West Ward this evening is under investigation.
Emergency responders rushed to the area of South Orange Avenue and Munn Avenue at around 8:25 p.m. where rescue crews found the victim suffering a serious head injury after being struck by a vehicle at that location.
The male victim, who is around 50-years-old, was rushed to University Hospital in critical condition according to reports.
The vehicle reportedly left the scene.
