Authorities in Union County are on the search for a suspect wanted for a commercial armed robbery in Elizabeth Tuesday night.
Several police units raced to reports of an armed robbery in progress at the Walgreens Pharmacy located in the 400 block of Rahway Avenue shortly before 9:35 p.m.
Upon arrival, police learned that an armed suspect had produced a sharp object, placed the weapon on an employee's neck, then took about $250 cash before fleeing the scene on foot.
Police say no physical injuries were reported as they continue to search for the suspect responsible for this armed robbery.
The Elizabeth Police department is leading the investigation.
