Police in Elizabeth are on the search for several violent suspects who robbed then attacked a person at allocation on the city late Thursday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, the incident happened in the 400 block of West End Avenue near Pennington Street before 11:55 p.m.
Police say four black male suspects approached the victim at knife-point and demanded personal possessions.
During the robbery, police say one of the suspects produced pepper spray and began to activate the chemical in the victim's face.
Police say EMS treated the victim for non-life threatening injuries and the suspect fled on foot.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
