Authorities in Kearny are investigating a threat made at the high school this evening.
According to a press release, police said, a written bomb threat was found by a custodian at Kearny High School tonight.
Out of an abundance of caution, evening school activities were evacuated and canceled police said.
Police officers, custodians, and KHS security performed a full search of the school, and afterward, bomb-sniffing dogs from Jersey City Police Department Bomb Squad conducted a secondary search of the school. Nothing dangerous was found, and normal school activities will resume as scheduled.
The incident is under investigation by the Kearny Police Department.
