Authorities in Passaic County announced that a 15-year-old male from Paterson and a 16-year-old male from Paterson were arrested yesterday in connection with the October 25, 2023, shooting, which occurred in the area of Halpine Street and North 2nd Street, Paterson.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said the juveniles are charged with acts of juvenile delinquency that would constitute the crimes of Attempted- Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
According to officials, on October 25, 2023, the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Halpine Street and North 2nd Street in Paterson on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, authorities say, members of the Paterson Police Department located a 14-year-old juvenile who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound and was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area, officials stated.
