Two Newark Police officer was injured following a pursuit of felony suspects, including three juveniles, wanted in connection to a shots-fired incident in the city's South Ward on Tuesday night.
Authorities reported that the pursuit began around 8 p.m. when officers identified a vehicle linked to one of Newark's recent shootings.
When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver ignored the sirens and sped away.
The chase ended in a crash near Osborne Terrace and Yates Avenue, where three juveniles fled the scene but were quickly apprehended by police.
The injured officers were transported to University Hospital and is expected to recover. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
