Police in Newark's South Ward are investigating the official cause of a pedestrian strike that injured a teenaged boy on Friday evening.
According to a statement released by Newark Police officials, at approximately 4:50 p.m. a male juvenile was struck by a vehicle in the area of Badger Avenue and West Runyon Street.
Police officials say the victim was transported to an area hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was uninjured according to police.
