A gas leak in Edison has lead to the evacuation of a local Community Center Wednesday afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, sometime before 1 p.m., a gas leak was reported on Oak Tree Road.
Officials say the road is currently closed between Grove Avenue and Wood Avenue. All fire personnel are on scene standing by while repairs are attempted.
The Jewish Community Center has been evacuated. Parents picking up children should report to Brighton Gardens Nursing Home, where children and staff are said to be safe.
