Jersey City authorities are investigating a shooting incident on Wade Street Wednesday evening.
Responding to reports of shots fired in the area of 121 Wade Street, police found themselves faced with two crime scenes within the neighborhood shortly before 6:50 p.m.
Upon reaching the location, officers discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.
The victim was swiftly transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment, and his condition is expected to improve.
Police have initiated a search for two suspects believed to be responsible for the shooting. After firing several shots at the victim, the suspects reportedly fled the scene in a dark-colored BMW.
It is suspected that the car had been stolen from Paramus, NJ.
As investigations continue, no arrests have been reported yet.
Authorities urge anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the ongoing case.
