Police are on the search for a suspect wanted for shooting a man this evening in Jersey City.
EMS rushed the victim to Jersey City Medical Center suffering a gunshot wound to the abdomen after police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Bergen Avenue and Orient Place where they found the victim at around 6 p.m.
The suspect is described as a tall black male who was observed wearing dark clothing and a mask when he fired the shot that struck the victim.
The extent of the victim's injuries are reported as serious.
Police are investigating a motive for the shooting.
