Jersey City Police responded to an incident where a caller reported a shooting that occurred in a neighborhood in the city during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, a man called police at around 2:20 a.m. and reported that he shot his wife inside an apartment in the 100 block of Bidwell Avenue.
Police and an Emergency Services Unit were able to make entry into the home, and after a search, officers were not able to locate a victim according to reports.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
