Police in Jersey City are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred on a street in the city on Wednesday night.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 64 Fremont Street shortly before 10:40 p.m.
Police say units arrived at the scene found several shell casings and other evidence at that location, but after a search of the scene, officers did not locate any victims.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
No suspects have been arrested.
