Jersey City police officials are investigating a shooting incident that left a male victim injured on Monday evening. 
At approximately 9:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to the vicinity of Union Street and Ocean Avenue following reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from a bullet wound in his leg.
The victim was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and is expected to recover.
The motive for the shooting is currently under investigation, and police have confirmed that the investigation is active and ongoing.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
