Jersey City police responded to a shots fired incident early Saturday morning near 82 Sackett Street.RLS Media has learned that the incident, which occurred shortly before 12:35 a.m., prompted officers to secure and tape off the area after discovering a crime scene with shell casings.
During their investigation, authorities found evidence that shots were also fired in the vicinity of Martin Luther King Drive and Atlantic Street.
Despite an extensive search covering several blocks, no injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
The suspect believed to be responsible for the gunfire has fled the scene and remains at large.The motive behind the shooting has not yet been determined and the investigation is ongoing as police continue to gather evidence and seek information regarding the suspect's whereabouts.
