JERSEY CITY NJ: Police chased down a suspect that committed an armed robbery of a cab driver overnight.
Quick police response placed officers in the 60's block of Lexington Avenue at around midnight where they were approached by the driver of a taxi cab who reported to them that a male passenger produced a gun and robbed him of cash.
A flood of officers canvassed the area and located the suspect a short distance away.
Cops placed the suspect in custody without incident.
The driver of the taxi was not physically injured.
A police officer reportedly suffered a minor hand injury.
