Jersey City Man Sentenced for His Role in a Gun Trafficking Network

A 42-year-old Jersey City man was sentenced to 13 years in prison for his role in a gun trafficking network that ranged from New York and New Jersey to Virginia and North Carolina. 

During the investigation police seized 10 firearms, including an AR-15 assault rifle and a shotgun.

Jason Siek pleaded guilty after being charged with leading a firearms trafficking network, conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, and multiple weapons offenses. He also admitted that on Oct. 3, 2015 he was under the influence of narcotics while driving in Jersey City.

Six others, Khalid Decker, 38; Ronald Parra, 21; Angel Grajales, 38; Kyle Saludes, 30; Dean Montelibano, 31; and Tiffany Donofrio, 34, all pleaded guilty to various charges. 

Siek must serve 10 years before becoming eligible for his five-year term of parole. He has more than 600 days that will be credited to his sentence. In addition, he was sentenced to three years in prison for the drug offenses, which must be served concurrent to his other sentences. Siek will also have to pay more than $4,000 in penalties.
