Police are investigating a shooting that left a 35-year-old Jersey City man injured.
According to police, officers responded to the 40's block of Westfield Avenue Saturday morning at around 2:28 a.m. for a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found the 35-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
EMS transported victim to University Hospital in Newark suffering serious injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
