A 39-year-old man was taken into custody after he reportedly left the scene of a crash in Roselle Park.
According to authorities, on August 27th, at 2:14 p.m., Officer Ryan Hokanson responded to the scene of a vehicle crash where the driver who was allegedly involved left from the scene.
Officials say the driver, later identified as Mr. Nestor Gochez, 39, of Jersey City, was arrested in the city of Elizabeth by Det/Sgt. Dominick Frino and Det. Edward Nortrup who located Gochez and his 2006 Toyota.
Police say a search led officers to the discovery of controlled dangerous substance, suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Authorities issued Gochez summonses for hindering, possession of CDS and drug paraphernalia.
Police issued Gochez a motor vehicle summonses for driving while suspended, careless driving, leaving the scene of a crash, failure to report a collision, unlicensed driving and being on the suspended list.
Officials say he was released with a date to appear in the Union County Superior Court.
