Jersey City Man Arrested on Drug Charges, Credit Card Theft Following Secaucus Traffic Stop

A motor vehicle stop Friday led to the arrest of a Jersey City man who police say had ecstasy, marijuana, fraudulent credit cards and more than $76,000 in cash inside the vehicle.

According to authorities, Secaucus Police Officer Sean Egan was in the area of County Avenue and Dorigo Lane shortly after 10 a.m. when he pulled Bryan Solomon, 27, of Jersey City, over.

Police say a search of the vehicle led to the seizure of numerous gift cards with a combined value of $10,900, ecstasy, marijuana, TCH oil and drug paraphernalia and $76,230 in cash. Officers also seized several fraudulent credit cards, a re-encoder device and related computer equipment.

Officials charged Solomon with multiple drug offenses, credit card theft, two counts of possessing falsely embossed credit cards, possession of a re-encoder device and money laundering.

According to authorities, Solomon was taken to the Hudson County Jail in Kearny.
