A Jersey City man accused of sexually abusing two children and recording the acts made his first court appearance Friday, authorities said.
Kirk Campbell, 28, appeared in court Friday via video link from the Hudson County jail.
According to complaint, Campbell, acquaintance of the family, video taped while he allegedly "fondled" the genitalia and buttocks of the two girls - 2 and 5 years of age - on Oct. 18, 2014.
Police said that video of the alleged acts was confiscated.
According to Hudson County Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor Debbie Simon, Campbell was arrested Thursday thanks to information provided by a "concerned citizen."
Campbell was charged with two counts each of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, child abuse and obstruction of justice.
Campbell's bail was set at $350,000.
