Police in Jersey City charged a man with multiple offenses after he stabbed two people at a location in the city on Saturday afternoon.
According to a brief statement released by police officials at approximately 12:56 pm, Jersey City Police responded to Martin Luther King Drive and Bramhall Avenue after a female victim approached officers and stated that her boyfriend was armed with a knife and other weapons.
Police located Mr. Dennis Porter, 34, and after a brief investigation and search, they found a knife and a gun in his possession according to police officials.
Police placed Mr. Porter under arrest and officers recovered a handgun, ammunition and three box cutters authorities.
A female and male victim were both taken to Jersey City Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
The motive for the incident remains under investigation.
