The 24-year-old man accused of beating his girlfriend with a handgun and threatening to kill her on Sunday made his first appearance on the charges yesterday via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny.
According to authorities, Nigel Nealey also followed the victim to the Richard Street Light Rail Station where he punched her in the face.
Nealey has been charged with assault, making terroristic threats, harassment and weapons offenses related to a gun, including possession of a firearm by a felon, the complaint says.
Nealey's bail is expected to set by Hudson County Superior Court Judge Paul DePascale.
