A 47-years-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged Friday evening after he attempted to shoplift several bottles of vodka from Bayonne.
According to authorities, police responded to ShopRite Liquors on Avenue C Friday night, after a 55-year-old female employee confronted Leonard Priester, 47, after she reportedly saw him shoplifting three bottles of vodka.
The employee said after she demanded him to pay for the bottles, he pushed her repeatedly, eventually dropped the bottles and left the store.
Officials say Priester was later taken into custody and charged.
