Firefighters in Jersey City battled a fast-moving fire that tore through a house and displaced nearly a dozen residents Saturday morning.
According to fire officials, firefighters were called to a structure fire at 153 Pine Street shortly before 2:10 a.m.
Crews arrived to find fire ignited an occupied three-story wood-framed house with smoke and flames visible upon arrival.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze in less than a half-hour, but significant damage to the house left six adults and four children displaced according to reports.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries reported.
