Ther is an active investigation underway into a shooting that injured a male in Jersey City Sunday morning.
According to police, at approximately 3:49 a.m. units set up a crime scene in the vicinity of Harmon Street and Randolph Avenue to search for shell casings after a male reported he was shot at that location.
Offcials at Jersey City Medical Center contacted police when the victim entered the emergency department suffering a bullet wound in his neck.
Authorities said the victim's injuries are life-threatening.
Police are investigating the motive for the shooting.
