An unusual incident that occurred at a residence in Jersey City had the city's Emergency Services Unit assisting in removing handcuffs that were being used by a couple for an unknown reason.
Police were called to a residence in the 200 block of Virginia Avenue shortly before 11:45 p.m. after receiving calls of a person who couldn't remove handcuffs at that location.
Units arrived and attempted to remove the handcuffs, but the key that emergency responders reportedly brought to the scene did not work
Crews were able to get the handcuffs off of the person after several tries according to reports.
It is not immediately clear what activity the couple was engaged in during the time of the emergency, but the key somehow got lost during the activity reports said.
