A second part time left Yakasta Boyer little time to keep up with housework.
During tax season, she knew she needed to invest some time at home to get her paperwork in order to file her income tax forms.
While organizing documents and sifting through and reading papers, Boyer found a Jersey Cash 5 lottery ticket.
She decided to take a break from the chores and check the ticket numbers on the Lottery website. She couldn’t believe what she saw. She asked her brother to check the numbers for her. He confirmed that the $472,271 winning ticket from the April 14, 2015 drawing belonged to her!
Boyer filed her claim on April 1, 2016. Since that ticket would have expired on April 14, 2016, she found it just in time!
Although she does not have any definite plans for the money she plans on paying off her existing debts.
She said she works 60 hours a week now and during the Christmas holidays it’s even more, so maybe now, thanks to her Lottery win, this coming holiday season she will be able to work less and have more time to relax and enjoy time with friends and family.
Boyer purchased her winning ticket at the Quick Mart, 155 Lakeview Ave. in Clifton, Passaic County.
