Four lucky tickets matched all five numbers drawn splitting the $409,076 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Thursday, Aug. 30 drawing. Each ticket is worth $102,269.
The winning numbers were: 02, 09, 16, 22 and 28 and the XTRA number was: 05.
Those tickets were sold at the following locations:
Bergen County: Shoprite of Northvale #153, 246 Livingston St., Northvale;
Burlington County: Country Farm, 1805A Route 206, Southampton;
Hudson County: Freedom News, One Path Plaza, Jersey City; and,
Ocean County: Shoprite of Fischer, 860 Fischer Blvd. & Bay, Toms River.
Acting Executive Director James Carey said, “We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at Shoprite of Northvale #153, Country Farm, Freedom News, and Shoprite of Fischer. The retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for each winning ticket sold. Overnight, they have become four more ‘lucky locations’ for the very fortunate lottery winners.”
Carey announced that there were 460,032 tickets purchased for the drawing. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1.00 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. For correctly matching four of the five numbers drawn, 91 ticketholders won $420 each and 17 others won $2,100 each with the addition of XTRA.
Moreover, for correctly matching three of the five numbers drawn, 3,366 ticketholders won $12 each and 578 others won $60 each with the addition of XTRA.
Lastly 6,399 ticketholders each won $2 for correctly matching two of the five numbers drawn with the addition of XTRA on their purchase.
